Towards the memory lane

We were the best friends,
Promised to be ever together
Jokes, riddles, joy and laughter,
Both in good and bad times
Together ever in success and failure.

And there we were fifteen,
With future plans and morrows thoughts,
I was there and she was else where,
Letter, calls, mails did everything,
But things were changing day-by-day.

Our friendship was lost totally,
In busy schedule and hard life,
Our cheerful music reversed its tune,
Fun and fights, trends and twinkles,
Everything was towards the memory lane.

Now, we were two different people
With different dreams and different lifestyles,
But who can forget that splendid time,
No one knew that we were friends,
But we knew deep in our hearts...
