India beat Pak by 5 runs...

The day for the grand finale dawned
Indians were full of excitement and thrill
To celebrate triumph over Pakistan
Little ones bunked their lectures
Younger crowd had the excuse of headache
And the office people ran home early...

It was evening 5:30
The roads were calm, quiet and chill
Not even a dog bark or honking horn
India wins the toss and chooses to bat
Two in blue heads to the pitch
And the most exhilarating match began...

Indian inning started with a roar
Opponent was good in applying breaks
And kept India’s batsmen in check
With a fluctuating run-rate
It was time to chew finger-nails
As the inning ended with low total of 157...

Completion of short intermission announced
11 guys in blue speeded to the Stadium
Bowlers were left the task of defending 157
Indian Seamer was at its hard
Ready to fling the bells
And sent the green ones back to pavilion...

Bowlers pulled the rabbits out of hat
With an emotional six-run victory
To lay its hands on ICC World Twenty20 crown
We were announced The World Champions
For the most thumping victory
Music, dance, fireworks all over India...

Indian Skipper with his chin up
A silent grin on all the faces
And there was not a single dry eye
Crowd with flags and bikes onto roads again
Big applaud and tight collars in pride
And proved again, Indians are Indians always...

He: “Don’t worry, Im there...”

When I was six and he was thirty six,
I was very shy and a scary-poo at school,
The heavy loads in my small satchel,
Class teacher with big gigantic glasses,
Annoyed me unknown crowd with same dresses,
His large palm on my wee hands..
Boost me up, his magical words,
“Don’t worry, Im there...”

My tiny hands were no longer tiny,
Soon I turned into my initial teens,
Out of school in this bad world,
Admissions, career, tension and I
Was lost in search of correct decision,
His hand on my shoulder..
Made me bold, his magical words,
“Don’t worry, Im there...”

I grew up into a big girl now,
Shoes were transformed into Hi-heels,
School dress was out into the waste,
This made place for my low-waist jeans,
Things were changing and that scared me,
His sweet snuggle..
Gave me comfort, his magical words,
“Don’t worry, Im there...”

The black gown, big hat n the Certificate,
He was proud to see me stand on my own feet
Tighten his collar and broaden his smile,
When I kept my first salary in his hands,
But deep wrenching fear ran within me,
His lovely hugs to me..
Built my confidence, his magical words,
“Don’t worry, Im there...”

Wet eyes and feeling of departing,
Its time for me to step into a new family,
I know he will always be there for me,
Coz there’s no one in world, whom I love more,
I believe Daddy won’t let me fall,
His kiss on my forehead..
Kept me happy, his magical words,
“Don’t worry, Im there...”

Hats off to u... Thank You, Dear Father.

Towards the memory lane

We were the best friends,
Promised to be ever together
Jokes, riddles, joy and laughter,
Both in good and bad times
Together ever in success and failure.

And there we were fifteen,
With future plans and morrows thoughts,
I was there and she was else where,
Letter, calls, mails did everything,
But things were changing day-by-day.

Our friendship was lost totally,
In busy schedule and hard life,
Our cheerful music reversed its tune,
Fun and fights, trends and twinkles,
Everything was towards the memory lane.

Now, we were two different people
With different dreams and different lifestyles,
But who can forget that splendid time,
No one knew that we were friends,
But we knew deep in our hearts...

Lizards of Tajmahal – fell in Love...

Shahjahan created Tajmahal for Mumtaj,
Past and old is this love story,
But I have heard a fresh one,
Yes, ofcourse, still in Tajmahal of Agra,
Would you also like to hear...!!
Dudu the paal, small and shy,
Lived behind the big clock of Taj,
And in early teens fell in love with Gogo.

Gogo the strong and handsome son,
Was afraid of his cruel Dad,
Who hated Dudu and her sweet family,
Ooo poor Dudu never had courage,
To explain her feelings and…
Stupid Gogo waited …… always,
For Dudu to say atleast something,
But never he uttered a single word.

On one sunny day, came some cleaners to,
Put all the lizards out of the hall,
Where Dudu’s darling Gogo lived,
Shy Dudu heard the men gossiping,
And rushed to the Gogo’s large hall,
There she saw Gogo and his Dad hiding, but
Dudu climbed the wall of Gogo’s hall,
To save the home of her love.

Purposely, fell she on the cleaners head,
Screamed he and pushed her down,
Lucky Dudu fell on other mans leg,
Terrified the man, hopped a lot,
And dashed small Dudu to the floor,
Being the quickest climber of Taj,
Hurriedly she climbed the wall, and
Did the same dance again and again.

Annoyed and amazed were the cleaners,
Left the uncleaned hall feeling irritated,
Happy Gogo kissed and requested his Dad,
And asked Dudu, “Will u marry me?”
This was the pretty end of the Dudu’s love story,
Gogo never created a Taj…. for Dudu,
But kept her happily in ready made one,
Will people remember Gogo and Dudu,
Like Shahjahan and Mumtaj…. Sounds interesting!!
